A small haul from a trip to WV this weekend.

I’ve never heard of the Founders before but it sounds delicious.

I’ll be saving the King in the North for the premiere of season 8 GOT.

Enjoying the Scotch Silly tonight as I prepare for a work trip to Nashville.

She looked like a dummy today when we all went for lunch. I think her scooter days are over for a while.

    Weekend brews...

Wild Leap OG: Cascade - Wild Leap out of Lagrange GA has been killing the haze IPAs down here lately! This DDH casacade IPA doesn’t disappoint either!

Creature Comforts collab with Russian River Get Comfortable IPA... Quite damn good as well!

Had dinner at Torched Hop last night (highly recommend to anyone that finds themselves in ATL!) and had several of their Killjoy BBA old ales... Absolutely delicious! No adjuncts, just bourbon barrel aged malty goodness!

I was really craving more of that style this afternoon, so I ended up picking up a bottle of Monday Night's Last Will and Testament at the LBS. Similar style and also really good, but my nod goes to the Kill Joy!

It's pretty solid. My buddy (groom) wasn't a huge fan tho. Oh well.

Dang, those seem pretty low fill. Is that your normal process? I always fill it up to the top, no real reason I guess, just always did.

They had it on tap at the wedding we were at. Not bad, but I liked the luponic better, it seemed juicier haha. Still way better than your average wedding beer selection.

Recovery beers before heading home. Grenache Sour and then a strawberry milkshake IPA. Both not too bad, but nothing to write home about.

Yeah they ended up being pretty low. Unfortunately my girlfriend had a dinner party at our house without letting me know much in advance so I was in a rush trying to get out of the kitchen and used more bottles than needed. I figured better safe than sorry and as always wanted to avoid any possible bottle bombs.

I just found some more wild leap in my area to replenish my alpha abstraction. How’s that OG Cascade compare? Looks great

A boysenberry blonde for the wife, and Pilsner for me. Guess Rockyard Brewing won gold medal at the Great American Beer Fest for best Pilsner. Very smooth, semi dry finish. Nice beer for sure.

After a long day of travel this is the best the convenience store next to the hotel had to offer. Even better drinking it from the hotel glass lol.

I’m not complaining, but I want to get to a couple breweries here in Nashville before the week is over.

Here is a good write up comparing them... http://www.wildleap.com/wild-leap-announces-new-double-ipa-series-og-cascade/ I thought they tasted pretty similar, but I agree with the article that AA is a little sweeter than the OG. Definitely recommend both!

Read this online & decided to try it.

Tröegs makes a few of their beers in limited runs only once a year. Mad Elf and Dream Weaver are two of them.

Two parts Dreamweaver wheat to one part Mad Elf:

    Essentially now a Cherry/Honey Wheat Ale. :D

    It's amazing.
