The Beer Nerd - what are you drinking / brewing thread

Not overly impressed. Seemed to be lacking something in flavor/ taste. I liked Manta Ray, will drink again. Shiner was a let down. Wont buy again. Smelled pretty amazing, considering my smeller was severly damaged years ago. Flavor was pretty non existant.

 

Last one of the evening and does not disappoint.

 

Got that one too plus these cheap ones.

Time to decide which Russian River to open tonight

 

Just finished this. Pretty good. Whole Foods had a 4pack on sale for $6.99

 

Now for my new favorite IPA

 

I split my last can of Nod Hill Forbidden Zone at dinner with my father in law. So that 4pack is gone.

And earlier in the day my next door neighbor came over and we each had a can of this, so this is can # 3 of the 4 pack.

 

Went out to Starbucks Reserve in Greenwich Village NYC, pretty damn swanky. Had a couple Finals, and noms.

 

First time in a long time I’ve drank a bottle the day after buying it

 

Homebrew Mexican chocolate BBA imperial stout that's been hanging out for awhile, put it back on tap to kick the last few glasses. Maybe tonight?

 

Hazy is as hazy was and still tastes good ( hahaha).
Wish we could get Russian River readily or at all for that matter, on the best coast, i mean east coast.

 

Heya, nope just in Hong Kong for a few weeks, dealing with some family stuff. Wife's family has an empty flat in Tuen Mun (in New Territoris close to border with China) so we've a place to crash. Now that the crisis is over we will go to Thailand for few days for a beach holiday and later a couple days in Shenzhen (big city across the border) .

Hoping to get bin tang in Thailand. Alas, not available here in the backwoods of HK :~)

Another local favourite, even though its touted as a bit low brow, a blue collar brew...aka 'cheap'. 600 ml bottle we as HK $5.30, less than $1.00 Canadian
Funny enough, with my roots and parentage and DNA, I'm okay with that
A lagee, of course, but a tad more Amber than Singtào, with a deeper flavour

There beer is starting to come back. Not as good as it once was but not bad by any means.
