From an article I was just reading yesterday...

    OAHU, HAWAII

    Honolulu Beerworks
Beers to Try: Cocoweizen, Animal House Ale, Makakilo Brown Ale
Since opening in 2014, Honolulu Beerworks owners’ focus was on using both locally-sourced and unique imported ingredients in their brewing process. With its recycled wooden walls which showcase local artwork, the communal bench seating, and two beer gardens the open-air brewpub reflects the hip, rustic charm of the Kaka’ako neighborhood where the brewery resides. Whether you’re new to the world of craft beer or you’re a seasoned beer lover, Beerworks has something for every palette. The beautiful space of Beerworks can accommodate events from 15-150 people. Hawaiian beer garden wedding anyone?

    Beer Lab Hawaii
Beers to Try: BB Porter, Session Brown, Hamachi
For a local feeling establishment, try Beer Lab HI, based near the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. The brewery was built on the idea of continual change, experimentation, and small batch brews to provide beer lovers a unique experience with each visit. The brewery runs on a 7 bbl system to allow a focus on creating unique beers with varying malts, hops, and specialty ingredients. BeerLab is BYOF (Bring Your Own Food), so you can pack a picnic to bring in to your tasting. BeerLab offers special events such as Trivia Nights and beer and food pairings.

Home of the Brave Brewing Co.
Beers to Try: Pilot Pale Ale, 442 Go For Broke, Remember Pearl Harbor Dark Lager
Honolulu’s most unusual brewery is Home of the Brave Brewing Co. HOTBBC also operates as a military museum – with the largest private collection of World War II artifacts in the Pacific. The ‘brewseum’ is where visitors can taste beer made on the premises in a 1-barrel brew system, as well as other patriotically-themed brews.

    BIG ISLAND, HAWAII

    Big Island Brewhaus
Beers to Try: Overboard IPA, Golden Sabbath, White Mountain Porter
“Great beer deserves great food, which deserves great people, who deserve great live music!” Big Island Brewhaus is a community gathering ‘haus’ that combines the treasures of great food, beer, and music for the community and visitors of the island. The passionate, hard-working brewers have been consistently winning awards with Brewhaus beers – brewing world class beers one batch at a time. Brewhaus works closely with local farmers, fishermen, cheese, bread & ice cream makers, and bee-keepers whose quality products make the food as fresh and natural as possible. The Surfrider Foundation honored Big Island Brewhaus as a Platinum Level Ocean Friendly Restaurant and will be the 2nd Blue Zone Approved restaurant on the island. Your senses will all be enlightened at Hawaii’s highest brewpub located at 2,764’ above the sea, in Waimea.

    Kona Brewing Co.
Beers to Try: Pipeline Porter, Imperial Vanilla Stout, Pineapple IPA, Lychee Lager
“Liquid Aloha” is the motto of this well-established Hawaiian brewery. Kona Brewing Co. opened in 1998, and out of true Aloha spirit, they used locally sourced materials. The brewery features a 2,000 square foot outdoor lanai that lets you kick back and breathe in the fresh island air. Inside the brewpub, you can spend a few hours lounging at the masterpiece U-shaped Koa bar to enjoy local food paired with refreshing beers. There is also a Growler Shack serving beer-to-go that you can take back to your HGV property to enjoy throughout the week. Kona Brewing Co. also offers hour-long tours for visitors (Children under 15 years old are not permitted). The tour includes a complimentary KBC gift and four 4 oz beer samples.

Copy/Paste... I’m not THAT dedicated... lol

Never been to HI. Other family and friends multiple times. Everyone always tells me - “Wonderful place to visit, but you don’t want to live there...”

They’re right. It’s beautiful, but I made a huge mistake moving back for another tour as far as sanity went.

Also.. flying from there to Pittsburgh is miserable. Just miserable.

Spent a good portion of the day washing, polishing, vacuuming the Taco. Now kicking back with some brews. The Kölsch...not to my liking but the wife likes it.

Sorry beer bros for all the likes at once. I left from RR on the 3rd and am just getting back onto TW for the first time in about 3 weeks.... RR was hectic to say the least but I do have some pictures that I'll get around to posting over the next few days or so.
