    Hazy's are actually very difficult to do correctly. Part of the reason why every "off the shelf" that claims to be a 'hazy' tastes like garbage.
    There are very few breweries (in comparison to all other styles) that do them the right way.

    I'm well aware. I'm sure you can go back and find posts of me saying something almost exactly the same. I still am not really a hazy fan though. I'll drink em if they're given to me, but I'm not (usually) going to order one or go seeking any out.

    I did another tour of Dogfish Head last week and tried some of their new haze that is still in R&D or just sold at the brewery, and it’s a far cry from good microcraft haze.

    Their BBA Palo Santo and BBA Fruitful Fort were real good.

    Don't get your haze hating panties in a twist @uhplifted I think the meaning there is that they're on the same level. I've said it before, I'll say it again, haze is about freshness. They're delicate. The best hazie will be junk after a few weeks. Also why shelf hazy beers are boring and bland compared to a fresh hazy. I had weldworks juicy bits in Denver and almost didn't finish it. Just nothing special. It's supposed to be super good from a list someone posted recently. I never knew.

    I think a lot of dark beers also taste the same, but there are definitely ones that are superior. It generally has a matching price point too :(

    Smoked beers are the fucking worst.

    BBA anything always gives it a price hike. I love just a simple oatmeal stout, or a milk stout, with no additional bullshit. Maybe just a hint of vanilla or coffee and that's it. But I certainly won't turn down a pastry stout either :drool:

    At least we can agree that smoked beers do not belong anywhere.
