    I grabbed a case of pumpkin head as well. The spices aren’t as prevalent in the smashed as it’s more like an imperial but both damn delicious. A friend put me on to a shot of stoli vanilli in a pumpkin head for pumpkin pie a la mode; it doesn’t suck. I’m also a big fan of Roadsmary’s Baby for pumpkins.

    Long weekend of backyard prep while trying to kick this keg of English Pale so I can put the new Munich Helles on. Or the Passion fruit sour.

    Also a can from yesterday, I'm thinking to combat the White Claw craze. Only pic I got after a visit to Bottle Logic and hanging at a buddy's drinking some new beers I grabbed from the Bruery.

    Brettanomyces. It’s a wild yeast strain. Used most often in saisons and wild ales. It gives a very farmhouse, funky flavor to beer.

    Yeah, what he said. Definitely a barnyard kind of funk. The longer it ferments, the funkier it gets, eventually developing a flavor that one might associate with horse shit, which some folks seem to really like, though I'm not a fan once it gets that far along. I do enjoy it in small doses, though, as long as the funk isn't overpowering.
