Buddy brought me a few brews back from his travels out West today...

Needing to repay the favor and he said he’s really digging scotch ales right now... Def not a style I’m into. Anyone have some brews to be on the lookout for?

Decided to sample my current sour pipeline.

    Left to right:
Base sour solera, been going for about 5-6 years now, adding when I pull some out, always leaving at least a gallon. Not bad, but a bit watery tasting right now. That's the moldy topped fermenter pic.

Belgian fermented sour with a little rye, with mangos added. About a year or so old now. Good clean sour with a tangy mango finish. I think it's time to keg/bottle this one.

Oude bruin with cherries and a few oak cubes soaked in red wine. This has really rounded out into a nice drinking beer. Also time to keg.

I'm going to try to make a refill brew to move everything through: Base beer onto the cherries, re-brew to top off the base beer, keg the mango and cherry. Also want to make a Belgian tripel this weekend.

Bought one of the BevMo mystery packs for $20. Pretty happy with the selection.

I grew up in Southern VT, went to college in NH, lived in Portland, ME, lived in Boston and now just south of Portsmouth NH. It looks like you already have a solid list of breweries.

    VT
    Hill Farmstead
    Foam
    Alchemist
If you find yourself near Woodstock VT and need lunch or dinner you NEED to stop at Worthy Kitchen. Its a farm to table type place with a pronominal beer selection.
If you are around Waterbury VT Prohibition Pig is a must stop for lunch or dinner.

    MA
    Trillium
    Tree House

    ME
    Bissell Brothers
    Foundation
    Marsh Island

Have you had or do you have access to Pumking from Southern Tier? I would highly recommend it if you can get your hands on some.

To each their own. I’ll drink my pumpkin beer while eating pumpkin pie and finish with a pumpkin spice latte. All while wearing Uggs lol
