My dry hopped cascade pale ale could easily pass for a westie IPA just by looks alone. It’s clear as can be. Any cloudiness perceived is just condensation. It just doesn’t have the up front bitterness of an IPA. Whenever I get a keg system going, this will be a main stay for sure. In the mean time, I need to brew another soon.

thanks! One thing I have learned since I started home brewing is that it’s easy to brew beer, but it’s very hard to brew good beer.

They're a distinct kind of flavor. Some say cat piss, but I don't get it. White wine maybe. Not my favorite but I don't hate it.

My friend likes those spicy ipa's
I do not enjoy them myself.
Spicy just is not refreshing or crushable for drinking thirstabilitys! Kinda bummed me out as I felt I wasted some $.

Truth! A buddy of mine got a blackberry habanero double hazy, and I couldn’t get past the spicy. It seemed like the beer would have been good without the spicy.
Spicy is for food, beer is for dousing the spice...just my opinion

I have tried a couple spicy beers and I’ve been everything from Meh to outright disgusted. Everyone in this area raves about Mexican Cake from Westbrook in South Carolina. I got my hands on a couple bottles I could barely finish the first. It seemed like the peppers got hotter as the beer warmed. I’ve got another bottle if anyone might be interested in a trade lol. I doubt I’ll ever drink it.
