We went down for a hike in Irvine and figured we would try them again. Place is not busy and we were the only ones in line. Both asked for a half pour. Both got full pours. Quality of service is just so piss poor it is astonishing. A real shame because they do make outstanding beer

How was Eighth State? I’ve heard good things.

Resident Culture is one of the top Breweries in Charlotte. I don’t know what your schedule looks like but if you have time I’d highly recommend Salud Beer Shop. Great beers on tap and tons of great bottles and cans for sale.

So I after constant research on brewing systems, I had a moment of clarity and made myself realize I don’t need to make 5 gallons of beer at a time. I bought a 5.5 gallon kettle and got a bag for it to allow me to brew 2.5 gallon batches.

I did a boil test this evening and after taking 1 hour to get 4 gallons of water to a small boil, my little induction plate tripped off with 5 minutes left of an hour boil. I don’t think I’ll ever be boiling 4 gallons at a time but I went ahead and stepped up to a 2200watt induction plate for my set up.

I also have a 2.5 gallon keg set up on the way.

it really doesn’t take much space, but it’s very easy to go down the rabbit hole quickly. I’m sure the other Homebrewer’s in here would agree that it’s easy to make beer but it can be significantly harder to make drinkable beer. It sure is a lot of fun though.

Not really. I just ask for somewhat competent service. Somethings wrong with your service if you can't remember an order literally 2 seconds after hearing it.

Meh. I guess I like these flavors with more sweetness. The one from Bruery and this one are on the drier side. Still decent but not worth the price I paid.
