    Nope, this one actually is brewed in Kona; I just checked the bottle....I'd like to think that that makes sense, given the brewery is less than a kilometer from here.

    Everything we get in Vancouver or smuggle back from Bellingham is indeed PNW

    Make no mistake, I am Canadian -assembled with Irish components - so am a fan of anything remotely 'beer' (me Mum once suggested that my birth process was especially painful due the pint glass in my hand) and not generally interested in Bud, the Walmart~of~the~beer~world (Labatts and Molson qualify as well) but on a hot day on the Big Island, this was a very nice refresher....gonna see how many I can stuff into my suitcase20200229_174330.jpg

    Alvarado St salinas, monterey and a new one "Other Brother" in Seaside. Not pictured: fieldwork, and my hangover today. Alvarado's IPAs are solid, wish we got them down south.

    Might be hitting yeast of eden today in carmel with the family.

    Out with the misses last night enjoying some local brews at an local eatery.
    First up was a double/imperial IPA from Ingenious Brewing, their Double Splat. Kinda was expecting more from a double.

    My wife's pick of the night an Imperial Stout from Ingenious Brewing, the Cowboy Cookie. All the goodness of a stout with the aroma of cookie dough.

    And my surprise of the evening was a Sour from Martin House Brewing, Miss Marmalade. Almost overpowering aroma of Tangerine.
