Yeah, I went a year or so ago. Pretty good, but I was expecting better. As @uhplifted knows though, i'm picky. They have a pretty good sized spot, nice patio, good food, decent beers. Might have just been an off-day. I had some sours, hazys, and sour hazies, and maybe a stout? Definitely not bad.

Some Alvarado Streets I brought back from the weekend. CNG is f'n good. Mai Tai was alright. Also a sample from my sour on second use cherries. Always nice to get the pellicle cruddies in there with a sample.... Thinking it might be good to go, or maybe I'll add another fruit to it....not sure....

I'm a HUGE fan of Hazys, West Coast IPAs, and DDH IPAs. All of those seem to be 8bit's specialty lol they have a similar style to Riip in Huntington Beach, CA.
I haven't had a chance to visit 8bit, but I am definitely looking forward to it soon!

I thought the same, but they weren't anything that great. I'd definitely go back if I was in the area, but locally, you're better of going to Green Cheek in my book....

Green Cheek in Orange? Never heard of it, but will definitely check it out. What is their specialty?

Never?! I'd say they're the best in So Cal for hazies and some West Coast IPAs. They don't have the hype of monkish, but I think they're better. They do some lagers and sours decently and an occasional stout.

Nope lol but it sounds like I've been missing out. Have you been to Riip? That is my spot, which I am at every weekend lol best Hazies I've ever had.
I'm going down to Modern Times in San Diego tonight. Should be interesting

Collaboration between the local brewery and coffee plant. I wouldn’t normally drink a coffee blonde, but friends from last weekend left it in the fridge:
