    Reston is at least closer to some of the LoCo breweries like Ocelot, Twinpanzee and Crooked Run. Also Aslin's smaller location is in Herndon, which is the adjacent city to Reston. So being in Reston, I'd recommend Aslin, Ocelot and Crooked Run bc they are all close and good.

    Reston is on the metro so accessing DC is easy.

    Shenandoah national Park is 1 hour west and there are a lot of good hikes. Rag head is popular for good reason. A bit closer is Raven Rocks which is part of the Appalachian trail with a nice view at the summit just off of route 7. Bear chase and dirt farm for a post beer hike are close to. Great falls park is pretty cool and is 20 mins from Reston.

    And then of course all the DC touristy stuff ... But resident or tourist, walking the National Mall at night is always a good time.
