    That looks excellent. If you have nailed down Marzen then doing higher IBU brews should be less challenging. Hops can cover up flaws that pilz and light Brews have no were to hide.

    Normal homebrew philosophy would say that. I’ve nailed a light lager that had virtually nothing to hide behind, but my last couple of hoppy beers have been less than satisfying.

    I went to Cabarrus Brewing tonight to pick up their new release, a chocolate pretzel stout.

    Cabarrus Brewing likes to name their beers after local and historic sites, this one is an ode to the Gem Theatre. Check out the can on the right for a brief rundown.

    Showing my age here but I remember going and seeing Spaceballs as a kid there. In the 80’s and 90’s it had fallen into disrepair and the balcony was closed because it was unsafe. It’s been restored and is a really cool old school theatre.

    This is a very good beer.
