    That's pretty cool. Germans are very old school when it comes to beers. Pils, Helles, Weißbier, are the norms. I've seen a couple breweries try IPA but they are always very sweet:puke: I've tried to show good IPAs to my older german friends and they aren't about it.

    It’s crazy, all the Germans that I’ve ran into now go nuts when I say I’m from SD because they know it’s the micro brew scene down here.

    I just noticed you got Carlsbad on your info. I'm from San Marcos. The good thing about being stationed out here is that they upgraded the beer selection on post. I can get Stone, Sierra Nevada, New Belgium, Ballast Point. I would love to get my hands on those little breweries though.

    No beer. Was a cold hike today and needed a warm-me-up. Apple cider, orange juice, cinnamon stick, whole clove and Makers Mark. Warm it on the oven then add the bourbon.
