The Beer Nerd - what are you drinking / brewing thread

I have the Daniels book and can vouch for it's usefulness (I should probably turn to it more often than I do - it probably could have saved me from a few mediocre brews over the years). It gives pretty good guidelines to follow to create solid recipes. It's definitely a good reference book to have on hand.

I haven't read the other one, so can't offer anything there.

 

Just kegged my first stout, calling it Firefly Stout since I created the recipe back in June. Did 2.5 gallons just straight stout and the other 2.5 gallons will sit with 1.5 ounces or Ecuadorian cocoa nibs and Madagascar vanilla bean for a few weeks before trying.
