This was disappointing. It has a lot of Diacetyl flavors. Hopefully the brewers don’t actually intend for this to taste like an infected beer.

Homebrew Rye IPA...

 

How is it? I have one on cellar, but I have heard mixed reviews - favoring disappointment.

 

I like it. I do like porters . You can taste the chocolate but it’s not like a sweet chocolate syrup taste. I’m sure some won’t like it. I’ve looked everywhere the last 4 years for these. This is the 1st year I found them and wasn’t sure if I’d like them but

bought all they had(two 12 packs.). I gave 1 (12)pack to the neighbor.

My style is used motor oil, so anything past an Amber is on my radar. I guess you could say I start at Saison…

EDIT: I was a Beamish man, until it was bought and went local only (no import). Sad to say it’s a shell of itself. I’m also a red fan. Used to love Crimson Voodoo and Blackend Voodoo by Dixie, before Katrina wiped them out and they have never been able to get their groove back and the profile right. I’m so embarrassed by their name change to Faubourg. I understand the need to change but they went from a regional reference to a local reference, that honestly maybe 1/2 of the locals don’t get. I wish they had picked better.

 

Every time you post that one...I just stare at that infinite haze. So sexy. I sense a destination brewery in my future.

 

Just do it. You will not be sorry. The only tough thing is whether or not they will have that one in stock when you come. "Very green" is so popular that they usually have a 2 can per person per day limit. If you give me an idea of what you like, ipa, porter, lager, stout etc, I might be able to steer you in the direction of a few that they usually always have. It is so popular and amazingly good that they do not need to sell it in store or restaurants.

 

Anything in the Green "series" is delicious! By far my favorite out of all of their stuff. But you really can't go wrong with any of their IPAs anyway. And their stouts are also good. I'm just not much of a stout person, so I go for the hazy stuff.

With air fryed wings in the background......good supper. Treehouse for the win. The shit that they come up with for names for beers are spot on. It's like each one has its own personality
