Brewed up smoked Doppelbock on Thursday. Cold smoked the grains and it’s fermenting now. If a few weeks I’ll know if it turned out good or not.

Shoutout to @crashngiggles for this gem.
Saw you all busting on Treehouse and remembered this pour soul has been shuffled around awaiting the right time for the experience. It’s well worth it - maple, chocolate, coffee and smoooooth.

 

F-ing niiiiice I think all stouts should have maple in them! Delicious!

Anybody want to trade some Treehouse beers with me?!?! Plz! Lol I have a bunch of 2019 Founders CBS I'd be willing to part with.

 

I have a couple of "Very green" (IMHO one of their best IPA's) and a couple of "hold onto sunshine" stouts (reeses peanut butter cup in liquid form, and gets you buzzed) from treehouse. What are Founders CBS?

 

No problem sir.....told you it was in a different league. You really aren't ready for how good it is until you try it. Now, unfortunately, you will never be able to have another stout because once you sip it, you will say...."yeah, but it's not treehouse ". Btw, who was ragging on treehouse? The do make a couple of "meh" beers, but for the most part, they are by far the masters of their craft.

No ragging… they were all busting out TreeHouse Brews and espousing the goodness.

 

They used to only have it in bombers at their brewery. Then in 2019 they stopped making it....bottled what they had left and sold it in stores in 4pks.


I have a bunch to trade honestly. 3Floyds is pretty sought after by people not in the Midwest.

 

Have you had left hand peanut butter milk stout? Very delicious!

I have.....they are too commercial and are very thin in taste and texture......not to mention only like 5 or 6% alcohol. "Hold onto sunshine" is completely overwhelming experience. Like @NoOne said...."It's well worth it". Treehouse brewery is like nothing people who appreciate fine crafted brews expect. Unfortunately there is a HUGE negative to have a Treehouse beer. Once you have a Treehouse beer, then have a craft brew from some place different, you think to yourself that it doesn't stack up and inevitably say...."it's good but it's not a Treehouse." When they first started, it was out of a small 7000 ft brewery in Monson MA. People who wait 3-4 hours in line, with no guarantee they would get anything, just to be allowed to purchase up to 4-6 cans of their beer. Then they caught the eye of MassDevelopment.

"MassDevelopment issued a $7,740,000 tax-exempt bond on behalf of Tree House Brewing Company, an award-winning brewery based in Monson. The company used the financing to expand with a new 53,000-square-foot brew house in Charlton. The new facility will allow Tree House to keep up with increasing demand for craft beers by brewing up to 150,000 barrels of beer per year. Tree House brews 14 of the top 100 beers in the country, according to The BeerAdvocate Magazine. MassDevelopment enhanced the financing with a guarantee."

Since then, they moved into a building 3x the size in 2021 as their second site in Deerfield MA. Now they have a site in Boston and looking at property in the Cape.

 

I mean...a brewery is only as good as its brewer. The only reason I want to try some Treehouse is because of all the hoopla surrounding its set up. I enjoy all beers from the huge multi million dollar setups to the micro breweries only doing 5bbl per year.

 

Treehouse is the best! Their IPAs are simply unmatched....

 

They're are many out there that are as good as Tree house. They make exceptional beer and so do many others, shit
I can't imagine how many we have not tried that are not brought up and only know by the locals of they're parts.
