    ‘‘Twas last night…

    I’m extremely confused with this one - I didn’t dislike, but didn’t LOVE it. I’d drink it again, but wouldn’t seek it out. I guess what I’m trying to say is… I don’t particularly think my stouts NEED banana in them. It somehow works, but I have never been drinking a good stout and thought to myself… If ONLY this had banana in it… it would be AWESOME! Just an observation.

    Absolutely gorgeous beer...such a deep red. Even better tasting! Pictures don't do it justice! Anybody that gets an opportunity to go to New Holland...you gotta visit this brewery!

    So I didnt notice until I toured their hop field, they have LED grow lights along each row. Hop flowering/leafing out is triggered by day lengths. Here in FL, at 28deg, our days are never longer than 13hrs. Hops need 15hr days associated with 40-50 deg locations to produce cones in a volume that makes farming them worth while. A malfunction in the lighting system can also ruin a harvest season.

    I will probably stick to buying pellets.....
