The Beer Nerd - what are you drinking / brewing thread

Weekend Vibes. I was getting really cocky about the beer store and not having the same beer twice for months but now Sumit realizes he's got a gold mine and some of the 4 packs are $25-$30. I have put a $20. limit on 4 packs going forward which means I'm tapping old favorites for now on.

I'm not a beer geek by any means, but a good cold beer is usually part of my daily "diet". Went to local Smart & Final yesterday to replenish my plans for the evening with intent of buying a 12 pack of Modelo. Picked up "Estrella" a Mexican Lager, a 24 pack of Estrella was $2 more than a 12 pack of Modelo. Couldn't pass it up. Had 3 last night just to make sure of consistency in my purchase. Very good beer in my aged opinion.

It’s got the right taste, but it’s not quite a cream ale… not sure why (not a brewer), the head didn’t develop.

 

I met a rep this afternoon and got some “testers” and swag.
Anybody know about a Dogfishhead in Utopia (Sam Adams) barrels? Apparently for a year and then dry hopped? I took one, but sounds like not my type (despite utopia). New Red, a Czech, and Oktoberfest is coming on. Great Raft hit me up with an IPA type as well. Photos eventually…

Home from long miles road trip but worthy

I would rather look at photos of beer than be reading posts today from some guys that hate EV's because they most likely can't afford one.
(Even though Elon keeps making them less expensive!)

 

My buddy made a trip to Tree House, so I stocked up a bit since I haven't been up there in forever.

 

Geez....I go camping with a group of buddies on a yearly trip to the desert. I've been dragging out the same Tupperware container (Sandwich size) for 3 years.
We finally finished it off last outing. Got it from a long time buddy that grows it himself. I call it "Ranchita Delight". Heading out again in October, I stop at his place on the way out for a refill.

 

None of those sound like trade material….
