Had some amazing brews today. Took a 2013 cigar city Marshal Zhokov and 2014 rye whiskey barrel aged Surly Darkness to a share and had Lost Abby Veritas 016, Kern River Citra double IPA and many other incredible beers.

Went to a brewery in the middle of nowhere on highway 1 between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. Got a adult float with their Milk Chocolate Stout and a scoop of their home made vanilla ice cream. Pretty damn good.

Got this because I found the name hilarious, didn't realize it was a fruity IPA but I enjoyed it!

    Had this from High Water:
    image.jpg
Smelled like maple pecan pralines, tasted about the same with a touch of oak and bourbon to keep the sweetness from being over bearing. Really awesome brew and at $9.99 for a bomber its not too expensive considering the style.

This is a favorite from the Bruery
    image.jpg

I love it because despite its high abv its pretty smooth and tastes great fresh where as the Black Tuesdays I just picked up will need substantial aging before they smooth out.

Yes, ive had both good call. I like Campfire and for the smoking wood I really like how the spiciness of the rye barrel version cuts down some of the smokiness vs the bourbon barrel one.
