    So I tried my first brew. It said wait 1 week for 2 drops. Had very little carbonation. Gonna let it sit for another week and try another. Kind of disappointed. Maybe it'll work out.

    Looks like bottle carb. What system did you use? Traditional mix a packet of sugar and distribute in the beer, or is it one of the mr beer systems?

    I've only waited almost 3 weeks for a good carbonation. Both bottle and forced.

    Checked the bottles this am after moving to warmer spot of house they seem to be firmer than before. I'll try waiting 2 more weeks.

    But am going to start another batch this weekend either way.

    Ironically, the biggest nose note I got was of sour beer, lol. But it tastes great, very complex flavor from the bourbon barrels. Tastes nothing like the standard Shipyard Prelude, but that's not a bad thing in this case.
