    Smokey (almost peaty) up front, malty/caramel in the middle with a sweet finish.
    Would be awesome as an IPA, I think. As it is it's a solid 'not bad'
    I liked last year's Bonfire Red better, though.

    But really, if wine is made with grapes, and beer with grains, mead is made with honey. It can be simple with honey, water, and yeast; or you can add any flavor under the sun. It can be sweet, dry, anywhere in between. It can be low ABV, or it can be up to 18ish. It's a category all it's own!
