Weather has cooled off and is gorgeous. Put me in the mood for this while watching college football. Tastes like victory.

Had a Pizza Port Graveyards Pale Ale yesterday.

To be honest, I wasn't a big fan. Simple grain bill to let the hops shine, but it was really bitter for a pale ale, IMO.

Not bad, but missing the complexity of some of the others that I've tried.

Tried a couple of Mikkeller beers yesterday for the first time. This one is their "Waves" IPA. It's a very clean IPA with a strong pineapple aroma. A little on the sweet side if I'm being critical of it, but overall very good.

I also tried their hoppy pilsner called "California Dream". The pilsner base was excellent, but the hop aroma and flavor were a little lacking. Smelled a little bit like green grapes. If it had a big hop aroma and flavor, it would be a home run in my book.

Local beer shop had a deal on these, $12.99 per case.
Not sure why they hadn't sold already, they're actually pretty damn good. Nice and light and dry, without any off-flavors or yeastiness. Going back tomorrow for another case, lol.

As long as the sun is up, it's merely day drinking.

Starting to see the earth tilting back the other way now up here in the North. At 7:30 it's fully light out, but the sun isn't quite up just yet. But we'll call it close enough.

By that logic, I should be able to have two cups of Kahlua at work every morning.

Would certainly make some of my meetings more enjoyable.
