Just not sure about the flavor of the beer. Bacon Maple. Although a friend of mine had bacon maple ice cream and said it was pretty kick ass.

I drank one of those - it tasted, well, like a voodoo doughnut bacon maple ale

Not a bad tasting beer, but one hell of a hangover :bananadead:

Don't recall but it was up there, definitely north of 8%

Edit - Google says nope, only 6.5%. But plenty of sugar and smoky bits to leave you with a pretty bad headache.

Maybe I'm thinking of the Peanut Butter one. I'm gonna look for it this week in ABQ. If I can't find it I may have to make the drive to SF for it!

This is a great beer to make waffle or pancake batter with.

@boostedka The one I saw was definitely the maple bacon - but it was spotted at Kelly's in Rio Rancho on Hw. 550 not Santa Fe.

Oh the possibilities. Beer bacon pancakes with a side of bacon and maybe an Oatmeal breakfast stout.

I've had a couple recently ...The Scotty Karate Scotch and the Thirsty Trout Porter. Both were really good. The scotch was pretty high ABV at 9.75% but didn't taste like it though. It was real good stuff. I recently ordered some of the Plead the 5th Imperial Stout. I'm looking forward to that. I think it's around 11%. Should be pretty sic!

I brewed this one over the summer. Bourbon porter. The six months of aging mellowed out the whisky flavor and let the porter flavor come through much more. Main negative is the carbonation. I was lazy used fizz drops instead of mixing in some natural sugar. Made it carbonate more like a soda. Still decent though
