Not the smoothest of theirs that I've had in this series. Almost watered downed when compared to the others. But planning a visit to the brewery tomorrow.

Not too bad. I think it is going to be a one and done for me with this brew though.
Slightly bitter with a hint of sweetness from the maple syrup. Would like to taste a bit more maple in it, if possible.
    10% alc.
Just having this little glass right now and then a bit more once I bake up some fresh banana bread.

For me those types are totally hit or miss. Either really good or 1 and done.

Visited a local brewery here today. The only aggravating thing is that many of their beers are only sold in a few select locations that are more in the uptown areas around here. Local law prevents them from selling any carry out from the brewery.

    My favorites were:
    STYLE: Bourbon barrel-aged Barleywine

    ABV: 13.5%

    IBU: 90

    SRM: 20

    OG: 1.105
    • TASTING NOTES:
    • Rich, caramel-like aroma
    • Intense, malty backbone
    • Full-bodied and chewy
    • Boozy, warming finish

    And this little spicy number:
STYLE: Imperial Milk Stout w/ vanilla, chiles, cacao, and cinnamon

    ABV: 9.1%

    IBU: 56

    SRM: 33

    OG: 1.091

    AVAILABILITY: Draft, 22oz bottle

    SERVE: Snifter at 50˚-55˚

Mole (pronounced moh-lay) is a traditional Mexican sauce made with a variety of ingredients including dried chiles and chocolate, flavors that beg to be paired with our seductive señorita. So we combine ancho, pasilla, guajillo, and chipotle peppers for spice; add 100% pure cacao; and toss in a touch of cinnamon for a bold, festive spin on our cerveza deliciosa.

    • TASTING NOTES:
    • Bold, complex aroma
    • Rich, spiced chocolate
    • Slight heat from chiles
    • Warming, sweet finish

I keep hearing/seeing all this hype about Evil Twin... I've tried several of their beers and haven't been crazy about any of 'em. Some decent ones, but nothing that made me wanna run out and grab more... Especially for the high prices my local store charges for it.

I do want to try the doughnut and biscotti brews though!

Just had the Soft DK. Was pretty good.
I agree, the prices are high. The 4 pack of Soft DK I got was on sale, so that was one reason for giving it a try.
