    Other way around.
If you like the sour go more Lambic, if you want more of the chocolate bitter go more stout.
I did it with BB Shake porter. Went a little too heavy Lambic the first round.

AHA Homebrew Competition is coming up! I've got a Belgian Tripel and a Northwest IPA on the brewing schedule to enter!

Thanks guys, that'll be up next. For now I'll just settle for this. Not bad, not great either.

^^ Got a bomber of that for my 21st birthday when I didn't know about craft beer. The message on the back as well as the "You're not worthy" has stuck with me for years after not being able to finish it that night.

Arrogant Bastard was released in 1997 by Stone, then became its own company in 2015. Same people and same original recipe, just an offshoot brand they now use to brew on the road with other collaborators.

Haha it was your post that made me want to brush up. I remembered having Arrogant Bastard when I lived in southern California and visited the Stone brewery, so something didn't add up. Arrogant's website, in the "About" section, clarified it for me.

Something changed, I think, with Arrogant Bastard when they split off. Used to really enjoy it but last four pack I bought (cans) it wasn't the same. Or maybe my tastes have changed...

Also stoked to see a homebrew thread on this forum. I'm a member over at HBT too, same name.

I BIAB and have a dorm fridge kegerator I built. I keep it simple and enjoy what I make.

I also am a big fan of craft beer. Couple of weeks ago I went to the Ratebeer festival in Santa Rosa. So cool and tons of brewery's (mainly midwest and east coast) I've only read about that I got to try.

Finally getting around to trying the Stone Xocoveza... Pretty damn tasty!

A little thin for a stout, but I'm really digging the spiced flavor. Reminds me of horchata.

Terrapin released a Moo-Hoo-Chata this year that I really liked... But it's $13 for a pint 9 oz bottle. The Stone tastes a lot like it, just not quite as thick.

    Will def buy again!

Had a Rice and Beans last night from the Bruery. It's their Or Xata (it's a blonde ale that tastes just like horchata) but with coffee beans from Portola coffee roasters. Real good. A little too sweet for a full pour for me but definitely a good dessert beer.

Nice! I actually looked at that brew tonight... I tried one of the Bruery's Christmas brews and I didn't like it at all! Think it was the 8 Maids of Milking. That Or Xata sounded good, but I remembered how little I liked that last brew. I may have to give the Or Xata a try though!

It's good but really sweet. I like sweet beers but I can't do a whole pour. Just too much for me. I also don't like sweets in general I always feel sick after. If you like hops, try their hoppy obligations if they have it. That's a damn good Vermont style pale.

Had a Straffe Hendrik Heritage, Firestone Walker 19th Anniversary Ale, Fremont B-BOMB, Fremont Cinnamon Coffee B-Bomb, and two others that I can't copy and paste off the tap list because they sold out and now I can't remember their names. I really liked them though :) The ABV of most of them is really high, like 10 to 14 high, and I was absolutely BUTTFACED. Thank gawd for designated drivers and truly spectacular beer.

I'll be back for another round tomorrow. :)
