The wife and I are in Barcelona for a week celebrating our 25th. Took a walking tour this morning and stumbled upon this place serving German weissbier and brats. Had to stop. Here's my Hefeweizen along with the wife's sangria.

My favorite/go-to beer of all time is Yuengling Lager. It's brewed right here in Pennsylvania probably about an hour from where I live.

I consider myself to be a beer connoisseur/enthusiast and will try anything at least once... Working as a runner at a bar makes it very easy to get free samples sometimes!

Lagers as a whole are my favorite type of beer (Yuengling, Sam Adams, etc). Guinness and Mike's Hard Lemonade are also on my list of favorites.

    My go-to beer:

    Other favorites of mine include:

Founders All Day IPA (I'm generally NOT an IPA guy, but I make an exception for this one; I refer to it as the "Grand Wagoneer Beer"):
My dad also turned me on to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

I also LOVE hard ciders, specifically Angry Orchard and Smith & Forged.

I generally do not like light beers, but one if someone buys a light beer for me, I won't turn it down. One thing I've learned working at a bar is that one should never turn down free alcohol.

The one exception to the rule of "Never turn down free booze" would be R5 Lager by the Doylestown Brewing Company, unless there was nothing else to drink:

It's not that it sucks, it's that the company puts all this effort into advertising and promoting, and it's really nothing special. Sam Adams or Yuengling will kick it's glass any day of the week...

By the way, have you ever tried Troegg's Nugget Nectar or Free Will Brewing Co. Coffee Oatmeal Brown? Both of the hose are pretty good.

The bar where I work stocked the C.O.B. but it just didn't sell. I was helping the general manager do inventory in the beer cooler, and she had two unopened cases of C.O.B. I told her that I wanted to buy a case of the stuff for a friend's housewarming party, and she just gave me these two unopened cases no questions asked...

Also, here's the thing. Beers like Natural Ice are bad, but they are cheap. Natural Ice is what a frat boy would categorize as God's Piss, because it's cheap and it gets you drunk. For less than a dollar a can, it isn't THAT BAD. The bar where I work occasionally has a special where they sell Rolling Rock Ponies for $1 a bottle! I NEVER buy or drink Rolling Rock, but if I have a couple bucks in my pocket and I'm looking for a good time, I consider that a deal

On beeradvocate.com, Yuengling Lager has an Okay rating of 79/100 from "The Bros" (Beer Advocate members) and an Okay (77/100) rating from BA itself.

Sam Adams has a rating of Outstanding (90/100) from the bros and Very Good (86/100) from BA.

    R5 hasn't even been rated!

Lagunitas is my go to so I prefer it over a Pliney because I think Pliney is a bit over rated.Sacramento has better beers if your willing to pay for it.
SamAdams and Track 7 are my other go to's.
