Do you know if they sell that in Pennsylvania?

Has anybody ever tried Dale's Pale Ale? If so, what do you think?

I am generally NOT an IPA guy. Founder's All Day IPA (which I affectionately call the "Grand Wagoneer Beer") is one exception to that rule. I also like and have been known to drink Sierra Nevada on occasion.

One night in 2015 when my boss was bartending, she let me pick whatever beer I wanted as a token of her appreciation for going out of my way to run an errand for her. We'd just started selling Dale's and I'd never tried it before, so that's what I chose. She took a cold can out of the slider fridge behind the bar, popped the top, placed it on the VIP bar, and thanked me again...

Anybody who knows IPAs knows they are very "hoppy." My first sip of Dale's scrunched up my face, not because it was bad (hell, it's pretty damn good in my opinion) but because of that hoppiness.

Unlike lagers, hard ciders, hard lemonades, and certain light beers which I can just chug in rapid succession (I've downed 4-5 bottles of Yuengling in less than an hour)...

I can't do that with an IPA, except maybe Founders All Day. In my opinion IPAs are meant to sipped with a good meal and not guzzled...

This reminds of the time I was at "Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill" in Oklahoma City, I asked for a Yuengling, and they had no idea what the hell I was talking about... LOL

This is what I wound up ordering, and I thought it was pretty good...

Also, I'm serious... It's one thing to not stock a beer because it is a regional beer, but they seriously had never heard of Yuengling Lager...

When the server asked for ID and I gave them a Pennsylvania driver's license, the "beer language barrier" was forgiven...

Dale's is some good beer if you want something light, crisp, and refreshing. Super crushable in my opinion

Picked up two cases of Miller High Life for work on March 8. What do people think of Miller High Life?

I would never buy even a 12-pack, but just about every bar I've been to (mine included) sells it at a reasonable price even when it's not on special...

Like I said, I would never buy an entire pack of this stuff, but it's drinkable, and it's better than Bud Light in my opinion:

It's pretty good for a light lager. When I'm on the east coast/Midwest I'll get one if I see it but I don't go out of my way for it.

Oscar blues brewery makes really good beer. Can't go wrong with anything they make (although I'm just talking about the stuff that gets distributed).

G'knight is probably my favorite when I can get it fresh. It doesn't sell well here so everything on the shelf is 6month old or better and it's not as good.

    On another note.

Anybody check dates on beer? I've gotten weird about it lately with IPAs. I won't buy it if it's more than a few months old or if I can't find a date. Makes a huge difference on smell/taste with hoppy beers to get them fresh. One of the reasons I homebrew.

More malty beers I'm not as concern about age.

I haven't bought any canned or bottled IPAs in a while, I just get them sent to me from NY and they're always canned within a week or two before sent to me.

I usually buy stouts and sours bottled and the older the better on those.
