I had KBS last year for the first time. It was stellar. However, it might be like a Pliny, easy to get for the locals and it's over rated for them. For us who can't get it, it's a treat. I'll be on the lookout for sure

If I recall correctly, it's a once a year release. Most places will limit 1 four pack, some might even limit one bottle. I know my friend who got it last year was only allowed a single bottle, so as the saying goes, YMMV

Generally a fan, but I found the coffee in last year's was a little harsh. Haven't opened a bottle recently though to see how it's held up. My favorite pub generally does a midnight event for this sort of thing (since in most cases they already have the beer, but agreed to the release date). From what I understand, there's more to go around this year, and they also started doing bombers, so not sure how that will shake out for limits.

Depends on the store and how many they got. Some of the grocery stores here only get 1 case, so they'll sell 1 bottle per person. Other places might get multiple cases and do a 1 or 2 4-pack limit. Not sure how the additional new format is going to affect that.

Hence the YMMV at the end. Hoping for larger distro this year, I'd like to get at least 2 bottles. :fingerscrossed:

Let me know if you strike out. I typically get at least 2 4-packs when all is said and done, but some years work out much better. I'm always up for a trade to share the beer love.

This stuff is ridiculously awesome. The blueberry sour masks the bourbon and ends with a little sweetness. I'll be looking for more tomorrow

Yeah I think you have to let it cool some before pouring it into the container. I know that people buy the softer plastic cubes so they can expand with the hot liquid and contract as it cools.

There are at least a half dozen threads about it on homebrewtalk.com

I think the blueberry scares people away. I don't think I would buy it from reading the label but hearing an honest opinion about it....I would try it.

and....what the hell is it btw? o_O

edit: looked it up. Oh my....a blueberry stout. hmmmmm......I really wouldn't buy it based on the label. hahahah

I'm not normally into sour beers but dark with a somewhat sour flavor is tough to find. Especially with a bourbon aroma to it

I am on to the Sur Mosaic right now.

    Sour dry-hopped ale.
A nice start with a bit of a bitter end (kind of a back tongue bitter)
    May try another from them.
