Here's what I just picked up at Iron Hill Brewery today after work. The Cannibal. Belgium style golden ale. IMG_1401.jpg

Haven't tried that one, I'll have to stop by Vivant (I work in GR).
It's getting tough to keep up. Haven't even been to all of the local breweries that have opened recently. First world problems. ;)

I agree on the Michigan beers! I grew up north of GR, and the scene in western MI has taken off over the past 15 years or so. Kinda glad they didn't have all of that going on when I was at GVSU!!
If you try the Undertaker be ready, it's got a high alcohol content!
Edit - wait, I was wrong, the Undertaker isn't that high (just over 6%), but it's still a great dark ale!

Oh, and if the brand is Kentucky Bourbon County Ale, run away from it. Thin, lame, underflavored and in general a waste of good barrels.

    In-laws live in Indianapolis.

    3floyds ftw

I also really like Barley Island. A little hole in the wall in Noblesville.

If you do, you could hit Bells in Kalamazoo, Founders and Brewery Vivant in Grand Rapids, then head to Holland and hit New Holland Brewery. Then head to the beach in Holland with your cooler full of beer!! Holland and Grand Haven have great beaches!

Our Brewing is just a few doors down from New Holland (NH just opened in GR as well), and if you go to Grand Haven, don't miss Odd Side.

Anyone here try Prost? Awesome brewery right near downtown Denver. Also anyone in north/central Illinois needs to check out Tangled Roots Brewing Co in Ottawa

Three Floyds is the only Indiana brewery I can think of right now, which is a damn good brewery.

Yes. I'm mostly familiar with Indianapolis and north.

Skip Sun king (wee Mack is good but others are so so) venue is pretty cool though.

Indiana city brewing was cool but might have been the chick serving me. I don't remember the beer so much.

Fountain Square was awesome last time I was there.

Three wise men was pretty ok

And like I mentioned earlier Barley Island is a fun place and they make decent beer.

Take this all with a a grain of salt, I haven't been in a couple of years.

Why is that? It was in there for less than 15 minutes while I loaded the dishwasher... Also in the freezer was a pint glass. Is that a no-no as well???

KBS was pretty damn good! Definitely my favorite BBL stout that I've had. Tasted the bourbon and heat right off the bat, which is opposite of what I normally experience with BBL beers. After that the coffee and sweetness came through for me. Nice and thick, like I expect from Founders stouts.

To each their own of course.

Good beer usually doesn't need to be freezing cold IMO.
