    There's always a reason, but yes, a spontaneous explosion is within the realm of possibility. I've had some bottle conditioned sours that strained the cage on the cork so that I opened them over the sink expecting gushing. An infection can also have the same reaction. So, if there's some minor imperfections in the glass, the additional fermentation pressure could easily reveal them. Some wild yeasts and bacteria can ferment sugars that regular beer yeast can't, so if it's kept in the 70s, that's fine with them.

    Just a quick update on these from the weekend:

    This one was amazing. My favorite Lost Abbey beer. I had one cellared since 2012 and cracked it open once I found out my wife and I are having a baby boy! Perfectly tart with a smooth combo of oak and raspberries. Really well balanced.

    I was a bit disappointed in this one. Not that it was bad by any means, but it reminded me of pineapple juice. If I liked pineapple, I'm sure I would have liked it better.

    I really enjoyed the River Buddy. Perfect combo of citrus, a little pine and a nice clean finish. Could drink this one all day and will definitely pick up another one soon.
