Wasn't my favorite from Modern Times. Didn't have enough carbonation or something. Maybe too much fruit? Just an eh for me.

I splurged for a beer glass and have to say, this is one of my new favorites.

Didn't get eat around to posting this from last night. Decided to give my go at a beer cake; I've done plenty of beer breads and they came out awesome. So behold a red velvet cake with Ballast Point's Red Velvet Stout with a cream cheese frosting

And it was awesome! I made a tweak to the recipe though, it only called for 1/4 cup of beer so I upped that to 1/2 cup and reduced the buttermilk

Just gave a bottle to my neighbor/friend. He is a gin/scotch drinker mainly but likes good beer.
He is sitting on the porch with a nice cigar and the KBS. He is in heaven. :D

This was last nights beer selection. Pretty much what I've come to expect with bourbon barrel aged porters. Complex flavors that kept me guessing with each sip as to which flavor would I pick up on. Damn this is fun.

Just tried Half Full Brewing's Double Hoptimism, and it was solid. Nice IIPA with plenty of light citrus and a nice malt backbone which lends a slight sweetness, almost a light brown sugar. Would definitely recommend

Got a question for all that keep bottles stashed. Can bottles occasionally explode for no apparent reason? Just had it happen. The temperature in the room is in the low 70s and the bottle was at ground level. I've never had this happen before and I've kept beer in this room in the past. Mostly bummed at the loss of a really nice bomber.
