:( It was a glitch on Total Wine about Shiner Cold Brew being in stock. Anyone have suggestions on other coffee ales?

Just racked my Cream Ale into the Secondary with 1.5 gallons of fresh picked NC Strawberries.

Sitting at 5.1% ABV and already tasting delicious.

OK, didnt manage to brew yesterday.
Our brewclub (The Foam Rangers) Competition Coordinator wanted company for the run from Houston to Austin to drop off entries for a contest (Alamo City Cervezafest).
    So I said yes.

Yes, drop off was at Austin Homebrew Supply, guys from San Antonio were making a run to pick up entries there.
    Anyways.

1st stop brew store. It is very nice, better than our local store, Defalcos.
They had a ton of used pin lock and ball lock kegs. I grabbed 4 ball locks (still with some syrup in them) for 190.
I also got 2 set of ball lock posts to changeover a couple of my pin lock kegs.
I am keeping pin locks for sours and non-sours for ball locks.

Austin does get beers Houston does not, local and some non-local. So we hit up a Sunrise mini mart.
So I dropped about 200 there.

    Southern Tier Choklat (x2)
    Southern Tier Creme Brulee
    Deschutes Abyss Brandy Barrel
Firestone Walker Leo vs Ursus Fortem
    Last Stand Smash IPA
Ranger Creek Small Batch 12 Rye Saison w/ Brett (x2)
Epic Big Bad Baptist Stout w/ cocoa, coffee, whiskey BBL aged (x2)
Bruery Mash Vanilla, barleywine w/ vanilla Bourbon BBL aged
Sweetwater 20 (IIPA on hop hash w/ Brett)
Martin House Gose w/ passionfruit, wine BBL aged

So then we stopped briefly at Half-Price books, where they have a rare book section.
I picked up a signed Michael Moorcock (fantasy author, Elric/Eternal Champion) book ($40), one of 3 there and 2 Heavy Metal magazine, one of which had the movie cover woman on the bird on it.

    Then off to ABGB http://theabgb.com/
    Austing Beer Garden Brewery

They had Helles, American Pre-Prohibition Pils, German Pils, Pale Ale, IPA, Hoppy Red, Sour.
All were very good, but the Pre-Pro, which is a medal winner, was watery.
They do $8 32 oz crowler fills, except $16 for the sour. I left with 3 sours.
Their menu is outstanding, I had the Proscuttio sandwich, Nick the Reuben.
