When Visiting Nashville earlier this spring I had the chance to try some of the best craft brews I have had in a long time, all local to the area.

My all time favorite of these was Little Harpeth Brewing's - Bison Bock. I have been trying to get a growler shipped to me in California ever since I got back home... So F'ing good!

Check em out here : https://littleharpethbrewing.com/

Nashville's beer scene has blown up the past couple of years. Actually my "current" favorite brewery is Bearded Iris in Nashville. Some of the juiciest IPA I've every had.

OK, we had our homebrewclub meeting last night.
    Wheats, Meads and Cider.

I also brought 2 12 packs of the beer camp.

I was dead wrong about the Beer Camp East Meets West IPA. It was great. A nice citrus. It is a good beer. Something must have been wrong with the lines or keg at Hay Munchers when I had it last week.

The Campout Porter is nice, a bit sweet. Noticeable honey and vanilla.

The Atlantic Vintage Ale is outstanding. You really would like to be able to buy a case and forget about it for 5-10 years.

If you dont know, I suggest you buy 1 or 2 4 packs of Stock Ale from North Coast. Store them. Repeat annually. Do not drink if they are under 3 years old.

Oh, and if you want to try meads, some of the best product out there is from Moonlight Meadery, out of New Hampshire. When I met the owner Michael Fairbrother this year at the Blue Bonnet Homebrew Competition in Dallas, he said the best he ever made was Smolder with Rasberry and Chipotle. It is still available. At the meeting last night we had 4. Kurts Apple Pie, Desire, Red Dress and another whose name eludes me for the moment. The flavors were light apple spicing (Kurt's Apple Pie), red currant (Red Dress), black currant and black cherries (Desire) and strawberry rhubarb (Fling). These should be available for 12-14 a bottle.

Going to be brewing my own beer for 10 barrel brewing company in bend Oregon. I've got a couple recipes in mind, but always looking for some new ideas. Probably late summer/ fall when I'm up to brew. Thanks for all recommendations

Oh, and another my bad. I had a can of the West Coast Style Double IPA from Beer Camp. It wasnt as bad as what I had on tap. Its an average I2PA, not a good or great one.

I will be bottling later today a Foreign Export Stout, Milk Stout and an IPA.
