Totally goes with poppers. And great with Basque Norte flavored steak.

I'm a porter guy my self. I love Sierra Nevada porter. It's been a few years since I've done my own but I think I'm ready again.

Had some about a year ago also. It was a brew tasting I went too. A friend of mine got a bottle given to him as well. I ended up with it and enjoyed every drop

It's really good and extremely mellow for an 11.3% I was expecting it to be a lot more boozey but it's very well balanced. It's getting even better after I let it sit and warm up.

Love that warm taste and feel. I don't drink l cold beer especially stouts and porters.
I made my last home brew at 13.2 and was so smooth it was a big hit with friends and family. The biggest down fall was I bottled it in 32 ounce bottles. I called it the goodnight beer.

I had the modern times double. Excellent lots of apricot. And the dogfish head stout... sample. Super good but boozy.

I'm ready for cool weather and some stout and porter releases!

My good dark beer drawer in the fridge is running a little skimpy...

    Founders KBS x 2
Weyerbacher Sunday Morning Stout x 2
    Stone Xocoveza x 1
    Moose Drool x 2
Weyerbacher Finally Legal BBL Stout x 2

I find myself reserving them for special occasions... I hate burning through my stash when I know it'll be a while before I can get em again haha!

Speaking of the Finally Legal, VERY tasty bourbon barrel stout!

    http://www.weyerbacher.com/beers/special-release/finally-legal/

Little smokey and I think it's a bit sweeter than the Sunday Morning... It definitely hides the nearly 14% abv well! I need to do a little side by side comparison of the two!

Keep an eye out for this one if you like the Weyerbacher SMS!

I've got somewhere between $500-600 of stouts sitting in my closet right now :anonymous: I'm ready for cold weather drinking.

I drink them year-round, but there's nothing like a good stout, some fall weather, and a camp fire!
