Its in a glass but I'm not standing up for a pic, its a light amber, not hoppy for an IPA, a hint of pineapple, not as much fruit as I wanted, you could call it well rounded but I like sours so it failed me :)

    Sounds ok.
Sucks it failed you.....but its a not a sour.
I like some sours, mostly the taste after that initial bitterness in the beginning.

It started its life as a chest freezer from Best Buy. Then lots of stuff from Kegconnection. Works pretty good until the cat swipes a tapper with his tail. Have tap locks on everything now.

PM me if you need any specs or what to get to make it work. The Best Buy chest freezers are pretty much sized perfect. That's chalk board paint. It's hard to find these freezers in black.

Thanks! It started with a pot, burner, and bucket 10 yrs ago. Now you'd have to walk behind the city inspector in my basement to catch him when he faints.

Yeah, definitely not advertised as a sour but lacking the pineapple also. Glad I only got one, good session ale for someone who likes it tho.

Do you have a build write up on another forum maybe?

I can't take credit for the design, but I put it all together.

    http://www.theelectricbrewery.com/

You can buy a kit from there. The directions are pretty clear if you have the time to read through everything. Kal is the name of the guy who designed it. He's a pretty smart dude. I don't have any regrets about the system. It sure beats dragging all that crap out to a frozen garage to brew.

Built a glycol chiller so when I get some stainless conicals, I'll be able to control fermentation temps.

But... I'm spending too much money lately so I just built this chamber out of some OSB I had laying around to put some carboys in. IMG_1517.jpg

My my fermentation chamber now doubles as my keezer :anonymous:

Have to time it right and I usually go a few weeks between beer.

My kegerator died recently so it wasn’t an issue before.

Yeah ferm temp is key. Well... mash is pretty important too. I was pretty surprised how much better my beers came out when I locked that down. Whatcha makin now? Sorry if you already said. I've never posted to a thread 700+ pages long. My attention span is like 3 pages of info on a good day.

Ive got a honey cream ale and a rye pale that needs to be kegged soon for an event next weekend.

I’ve been doing 5 gallon BIAB for a few years now. Storage space has been keeping me from expanding to a multiple vessel system. That and I make pretty ok beer on my simple set up.

Nice. I really like rye pales. I just recently bought this place. I put everything together in he attic of the house I was renting before. It was killing me not being able to use it. I currently do 12 gallon batches. It's nice to be able to split batches to see what different yeasts do to the same wort, add fruit to half etc... 12 gal ensures I have a full 5 gal in each keg after losses in pumps and hoses and ferm trub.
