One of the bars that I go to when I'm in Syracuse had gotten some, but I didn't know that it was 3 months old - that sucks. I don't think $10 is too crazy, since bars/restaurants in Vermont charge $7. That's easy for me to say, since I wouldn't be there.

The brewery is kind of a let down, aside from being able to walk out with a bunch of beer. It's a nice, new building, but the visitor area is small, and you can't buy a pint to drink there. Basically grab a sample, buy beer, buy merchandise and get out. Fortunately, there are good bars/restaurants in the area, and you can find lots of good stuff on tap around there.

I feel like the Alchemist is a very over rated brewery by locals and it's popular because you can only get it at the brewery. The west coast equivalent would be Russian River and Pliny. Although RR from what I've heard had a sweet tap room and they have a lot of really good sours and other good beers

Flesh and blood has been my go-to for a few weeks so I'd have to pick that one for sure

Yeah, there is a ton of great beer being brewed in Vermont that's easier to get. I still think the Alchemist brews great beer, and I'll continue to buy their stuff, but the market is saturated right now.

Damn you. I'm gonna have to make a stop somewhere tonight before our weekly brewery meet to get some juice.

I know, it's not the juice bomb I was talking about getting.....but it's not the only beer that followed me home today. :anonymous:
Heard good things about this one and wanted to try it.
Nice bitter to it, little on the sweet side too. Great aroma. Thick white head. Would drink again.

I've had one bottle from them a while back. I don't remember the name but it was a saison. It was pretty good.

I looked it up. The one I had was called Zoe. And it was a Red Ale. Which I'm not a big red fan
