IPAs degrade quickly. You wanna drink fresh.

 

This. I never buy more than I can drink within a few days on IPA

One of them I'm giving to my co-worker as a Christmas "gift" since we usually exchange beer bottles during the year if we find something we like, to try. One I'm definitely drinking cause I wanna try the rest (Since I've already had Celebration and love it). The other two I was thinking about bring to the fam's house on Christmas, and the other on NYE.

 

You'll be fine. They're in cans so on the very outside they'll be good for 90 days. Thats my cut off at least. Of course they're better fresh but can't always win.

Sierra Nevada doesn't do huge hop bombs to begin with so not too much to fade.

 

Cool. Question then. What about glass bottles?? Asking cause I picked up a 24 pack (4 six packs basically) of Celebration, last week.

 

Also need to look at their born on dates too

 

So figure about 90 days their born on date?!

 

Glass doesn't last as long in my experince.

UV light will degrade hop flavor and aroma really quick. So keep them dark. But it'll be an experiment right? If it takes a month to drink them then you'll see when or if they lose some flavor.

Planning on giving my pops one of those Celebration 6 packs so he can try. I've given him a few IPAs here and there, so he can try and get away from his usual crappy Portuguese beer, and he said he's liked what I've given him so far, so I'm sure he'll like Celebration as well.

 

Yeah.

I won't buy IPA's anymore if they don't have a date on them.

Which FYI Knee Deep doesn't put dates on their bombers. I love their beer but I've been disappointed in old beer too many times so I don't buy them anymore unless its on draft.

If you want to violate the Geneva Convention, sure...

 

And make sure you store all your hoppy beers in the fridge. Room temp will degrade them much faster.

Just had a Boneyard Notorious triple IPA on tap. Holy freaking shit that is a great beer. Its 11.5% ABV yet there isn't so much as a hint of alcohol flavor. The flavor is deep, wide, complex, and special. Wow.
