Brilliant use of an engine hoist!

I BIAB and struggle with how to pull my grain.

:spy: Time to get my hoist back from my pops

The cherry picker has been very helpful with the rinsing (sparging) of the grains when I do this "Beer Solo":laser:. I just warm up a separate pot of water and make sure to have this rinse water up to the same temp. Then just pour over grains into pot. Which also brings up my water level towards the final boils.

Yeah, it's super good. Have you been to either of their tap rooms? It's worth the trip.

    Yeah both.

Struck out in Berkeley but had a good time at the Sac taproom.

Berkely trip was about 4 years ago and the selection for that day was not so good. But a friend of mine had been raving about them so a few months ago when I was in Sac I tried them again and became a convert.

Now that rubicon is closed they’ll be my Sac tap room when I’m there.

Found this at Costco, bought 3.

Surprisingly tastes like a hint of cobbler on back end, sour upfront.

It's good. Thicker on the palate than the color would suggest. Their description of wine and mead is pretty spot on. 9% helps the head :D

Ha. I do actually. But I'm not opening it for a bit. It's super fucking good. I do have a half mead half strong ale that's also really good. But it's too late to open that up by myself tonight, I'd probably fall asleep before I finish it. Probably will open one up tomorrow though

All this talk of Mead I decided to pour some Queen Bee Mead, this one is made with Orange Blossom honey and 12%. I'm good friends with the owner, and will probably be drinking some of the Laphroaig Quarter Cask with her later tonight. Tiny meadery she started after years of homebrewing excellent meads.

Decided to pull out one of the last bottles of mead I made 17 years ago to add to the party tonight. This was more like 14%. Fresh blackberries added in the secondary.
