This is pretty good stuff!

 

Real world problems. When you tell them that you don’t want a frosted mug but they say that’s all they have.

 

At least it's Modelo.

 

Ask them to pour tap water in it first and dump it out.

I might have done this recently with a second glass then I dumped my pint into it.

To be fair there was something off in the beer and they offered to pour a different beer but I wanted to see if warming it up to a decent temp worked first. It was still off.

Which was a bummer because it’s a new craft beer joint in town and I want them to succeed. Told them to check with their distributor.

Heck yeah man! Love that stuff! About to go grab one in a bit... trying to get through some work emails, and then it's Celebration time!

 

And here it is!

Definitely cause for a Celebration! Won my co-ed soccer league playoff game tonight, so we're in the final next week. Won 4-1.

Smuttynose Brewing is being put up for auction

The sale includes its facility on the historic farm in New Hampshire.


HAMPTON, N.H. (AP) — A 24-year-old New Hampshire microbrewery is seeking a buyer, saying the explosion of competition has led to changing marketplace dynamics.


Smuttynose Brewing Co. says it’s scheduled to be sold at a bank auction on March 9. It employs 68 people and generates more than $10 million in revenue annually.


The sale includes the Smuttynose beer brand, its facility on the historic Towle Farm in Hampton and a restaurant located next to the brewery.


Smuttynose says the brewery is capable of producing 75,000 barrels a year. However, in the last year it has been running at 50 percent capacity.


Owner Peter Egelston says the company’s financial models were based on 20 years of consistent growth. He said as the marketplace stabilizes, Smuttynose can regain its footing with a major infusion of capital.

This is sad but I think we're gonna see lots more of this happening. Mendicino brewing is in severe financial distress and just closed one of their breweries in NY.

 

That's a damn shame right there... Not trying to be dick or anything, everyone has different tastes, I get it, but how can anyone drink Corona, or Bud, or any of that "main stream" beer after having tried craft beer???!!! I don't get it, I really don't. All that main stream stuff tastes like shit compared to the craft stuff.
