Congrats, man!

 

Thanks. Not a big achievement but work was up my ass to do it. Feels good to have it and them off my back

 

Fairly easy? I've been meaning to study up a bit and take it. My friend said it's basically all common knowledge stuff. What type of glass do you pour X beer in, serving temps, stuff like that?

 

Now this is my style!!

 

One of my all-time faves!

 

Tomorrow is a holiday so Fermentation Fridays happened tonight!! Andrew hosted and they were all fantastic.



We started off with "Funky Blender" from Casey Brewery out of Glenwood Springs, CO. This ale aged on oak barrels had a great mouthfeel, long lingering apricot flavors, and great aromas. The sourness was just right. And all that without any fruit added to the process, at least from what we know about it.


Next, "Freaks and Clips" from Fonta Flora Brewery. This was good. We all tasted the grapefruit and ginger. Not so much the sea salt and smoked paprika, but there was a hint of the smoke in the aroma. Very enjoyable, but our least favorite of the evening.


Third was "Reckoner" from Homage Brewing. This barrel aged brett IPA was really interesting. Similar in flavor to "Little Brett" from Allagash. I could have had more for sure!


Fourth was "Funk Yo Couch" from Wiley Roots Brewing. WOW! Incredible saison with wild culture yeast. This won a gold at GABF and we could all see why.


Finally, we finished with "More" from Highland Park Brewery. This juicy hazy DIPA hit the spot. I want MORE!!!!!

 

They don’t call it thirsty Thursday for nothing. Back to back DIPA

Sorry to hear about this. Our previous dog was in decline but otherwise healthy at 16 when she just stopped eating and the vet said it was time. Holding her when she went was hard to do but impossible not to. Cherish every day left.

Thanks, bud. This will be my fourth dog I've lost. It's always difficult.

 

I put one of the best down and could never bring myself to get another one. I have 4-5 years until my daughter will want one I hope. Sorry for your loss.

 

Still working, but cracked my last can of "Dig My Earth" from Brouwerij West.

 

In honor of opening day. Too bad the Dodgers blew it tonight .

 

LOVE this beer, and it’s super hard to get on the east coast, or outside of Minnesota so it seems. The real star of this picture however is the “Silipint” silicone pint glass. It’s freaking BOMBER, and if you get drunk and tip over holding it, it bounces!!!! (Your beer won’t fair as well though)
