I opened a bottle of the summer wheat I brewed after it conditioned for a bit over two weeks. Nicely carbonated and decent flavor but I think it will do better with more time. Have another three or so til I open the first oktoberfest style I brewed but it looks tasty so far.

I tried to get a growler filled with a local brewery’s barley wine but they are out for the season. They have a limited number of bottled barley wines so I bought one. Now to decide whether I want to drink it or keep it set back for a while.

Went to a beer shop and bought a growler of beer from Silver Gulch Brewery in Fox, AK (about ten minutes away) and a growler from Midnight Sun Brewery in Anchorage.

My taste buds are intrigued. They have breweries like that in AK?

There’s definitely some good ones. Their description is surprisingly accurate. It’s a slightly thick/sticky feeling beer with more weight than most, a little hoppy but a sweet finish. I’m a fan.
