    I am sure I am paying a hefty tax added by my local beverage guy... IIRC he said 25% mark up.

    yea would be funny if you're getting it cheaper out of state.
    at the same time wouldn't be too surprised, everything on Long Island gets taxed so hard...
    to think from astoria where single cut is located out to suffolk county where I am is only a 60 minute drive.

    the beer is really just so good though :drunk:

    I will say that I am willing to pay a little extra for beer canned with in 7-14 days from date of purchase :spending:

    As if we don't drink enough at work, we decided to do Wildcard Wednesdays where each person in the group brings in a beer. This differs from Fermentation Fridays where one person hosts for the entire group. Also, we thought we'd limit this to the first Wednesday of each month. Let's see how this goes and how long it lasts. For now...bring it on!!!! :thumbsup:

    Rob brought in Tiki Tack from Green Bench Brewing. Very good gose with guava and passion fruit.

    Brian brought in a cider from Spain. All I can say is weird. Smelled like cheese. Had strange medicinal flavor. Peety. None of us would buy again.

    I brought in "Legend of Ullr" from Mammoth Brewing. This was a kettle sour porter with juniper, pear, peach and vanilla. I thought it was trying too hard. Good but not great.

    And finally, Kingsley brought in a crowler from Highland Park Brewing called 4 Pillars. This was a tasty IPA. Hoppy aromas. Low bitterness. Very smooth.

    Waiting for the brewery that's opening up here in town to finally open up and get cranking out all of their stuff. Supposedly in early May they'll be up and running.
