I used a Sprintbooster before my wallet was ready for a regear but honestly I wouldve been happy with just the SB. Even cheaper than an OVTune

My 2018 has right around 10,400 miles on it, and it has sat for most of the last couple of weeks. I’ve been driving several different rental cars (traveling for work) over that period. Got back in the Taco, and noticed the same bog down you describe OP. Seems to be a bit worse when it’s cold. Starts warming up, and the problem goes away.

Transmission has fluids...it also needs warming up. You can't just floor it and expect it to shift smoothly as it should.

I just installed the pedal commander in my 2018 a few days ago and it is remarkable how much different it drives. It actually drops gears quicker and more predictably.

I'm running mine in Sport mode and +3.

I also have the ECT always on module in it... so between the two of those, the truck behaves completely different and in a good way.

Well, nobody died either literally or hammer wise in this thread- that's reward enough, don't you think?

There were a few...uh, "lol cows" in here earlier too.

when i got my Pro in Dec'16 it drove so bad that I decided to sell the thing. OV alpha files for MT showed up right then and kept me from selling the truck. PC was helpful, but a mere bandaid that didn't improve motor performance. OV has been the actual solution. super happy to have found both. and absolutely love the truck now.

Surely with a problem as serious as this, somebody had to have died.

My biggest beef with OV is the price and lack of a handheld unit. I am not super saavy with computers and would get really frustrated really quick.
