    Says who?:)

For example, tread on my wild peaks still looks like new after 15k miles. A lot of those miles were on very rough roads. I will easily get another 40k out of them.

They are also silent and look very aggressive.

Cooper st maxx are somewhere between an AT and MT but they’re pretty incredible tires. They look good, are very quiet for how aggressive they are, and they last forever. I ran them at one point in 255/80r17 and they did exceptional Offroad.

Something is not meeting the eyeball test here.
We are talking 6 large on serious off road suspension.
And we are talking Golanders and how KO2s will feel on pavement and "looks" aggressive.
I get it I am new to the hobby . . . sorry but this is nuts.

looked into these but they are crazy heavy. heavier than most mud terrains.

Everything is a compromise including price. You just have to decide what is more important to you. The best tire for any specific situation will be a handicap in others. Unlike golfers we can't carry around a bag of tires and select the best for every situation as the terrain changes.

And you have to remember that very few of us will actually need an off-road tire for more than 3-5% of the miles driven. Many of the best off road tires suck big time on wet roads, ice and snow.

I wheeled on them a bunch for about a year maybe? Maybe longer. Only reason I went away from them was for something larger and more aggressive as my build progressed. They were truly awesome. I’ve had other friends with them who have also loved them.

I really, really wanted to get these tires in 255 but I travel in winters and to stay legal I went with wildpeaks.

BTW, they have been fantastic, haven’t tried them in mud though. I avoid mud like plague.:)

    265/75/16?

My 255/80/17 wild peaks weigh only 52 pounds, not bad for a 33”.:)

33s and 35s can be 15-20lbs heavier than other all terrain tires. although i know these are marketed as "hybrid" tires. the 35s are 80lbs each. nice tires but im tryna keep my wheel and tire combo nice and light. current have 33" general grabber atx and they are an amazing tire especially for the price. they outperform ko2s and duratracs which are the only other all terrains i have experience with.

    Yep. Note off-road performance wasn't a criterion.
