Cool. That’s not snow. Try over a foot and compare it to any three peak AT. Absolutely outclassed in comparison.

    Absolutely. STMaxx are loud.

Well since you’re such an authority on all things AT apparently, what is your recommendation? Haven’t seen that from you in here yet, just a bunch of negative remarks.

I have had BFG KO2's (32s), Cooper Discoverer's AT3's (33s) and now Toyo Open Country AT3's (35s). They all did very well off-road. They did what they were designed to do. The Cooper's though did not as well on the snow. Additionally, with the Coopers I had to rebalance ever so often. I went with Toyo's because I couldn't wait for the KO2s.

Really comes down to your budget and how much you are willing to sacrifice off the road when it comes to picking the right line. I just want to drive and get to my destination and not have to stop, reverse and go to choose a better line just because I wanted to save a couple of hundred dollars.

Another vote for Wildpeaks. They perform very well off-road and pretty damn quiet on pavement.

If the tire has the letters AT in the name, then must be top shelf!

When your major concern is looks and noise, you aren't really after best.

It was more of an open ended joke. No tire is amazing at all.

I've actually found the AT3's to be way louder than the outgoing AT2, it is a better looking and performing tire except for that one quality.

Yes but from my experience they are just a cunthair noisier than at2s.

Looking at tread pattern on at3s, one would think that they would be loud. Nice job Toyo.

I had ko2’s in 285/70r17, and would recommend them.
I got 55k out of my last set rotating every 10k miles, they were never that loud I thought.
Only place they didn’t do well was mud.
My only gripe with them was load E. The side walls were stiff and you felt that. But I never once got a puncture off-road, even at 10psi

    OME and worth every penny.
That LOOKS like it would LAST QUIET a while. Well, it would seem like it on a long highway.
I vote Wildpeaks if you want to save a couple bucks, Goodrich if you aren't cutting corners on costs or weight. Can't beat 8 ply if you really hate flats.
