x2 on the procomp as long as its the 3in shock lift not the spacer....if you shop around you can find a deal on it for around 300 shipped. I ran that setup for just over a year and I had no real issues with it. It was stiff but then again its a budget lift

but just as everyone says if you are going to do it, do it right the first time.

so are you guys saying the 5100s are bad for just normal driving on the street too? because I am by no means an extreme off-roader. The most off-roading I do is bringing my friends and I pit bikes down a dirt road for a mile or two so we can ride our pit bikes. and even with that I am going no more than 15mph just because I dont want to lose the pit bikes in the back. and yes, I talked to down south motorsports and he quoted me $172 for the front two only. he said too level it out most people run 1.75" lift in the front even though it goes up to 2.5" at this point, i think I am going with the 5100s and in the future if i start to do some serious off-roading i will then make the decision to upgrade to something much better.

Nobody said the 5100s were bad for normal driving. Since you have a TRD, the 5100s are basically an upgraded adjustable version of what comes stock on the truck. You should have the same ride quality as you do now (maybe slightly better if you install them in all 4 corners), just a little higher up. If you're just looking to level, the 5100s are the easiest, least expensive way to go without having to worry about purchasing other pricey suspension components.

From the type of use you describe, 5100s would be more than adequate at giving you what you're looking for.

I put a spacer lift in mine and to be honest with you it's ok. It aligned perfect and leveled my truck. Then I installed a winch and lost some of my front lift. I already have the Eibach springs and the plan is to pull the spacers out when my 5100's get here. I'm thinking about setting the shocks at 1.75 plus the 1.6 in the springs minus the 3/4 inch i lost after adding the winch should put me at around 2 and 1/2 inches in the front. Once I see how it looks I'll decide how much to lift the rear. This pic shows the spacer lift before the winch.

Sorry 300 was a bit of an understatement. I got lucky and ran into a sale and I paid 360ish for it shipped to my house. Like others said though the 5100 might be the better option for you. The procomp lift got me the lift I wanted but the suspension itself was pretty stiff. After a brief look the kit I got you can find for around 450ish so if you want it I would wait a month and hope for a sale.

Ok. I suggested that, per his statement that he'd spend up to 50 more to get that much better, that he slap the 5100's under all 4 corners. If you just want to level it out, get just the fronts. But bang for the buck, 5100's are the way to go.
Spacers and blocks and such will wear parts out faster than you really want them to. the 5100's are valved to the truck. Cannot beat that.

The procomp kit I was talking about by the way was the shock kit w/ AAL

I also agree with the guys above though the 5100s will give you a much better ride.

Yep, that's the kit I was eyeing. Stiff huh? The outcome is so nice though! lol I do like that the kit has shocks, springs and aal's

Bilstein 5100's all around + AAl (necessary?) to accomplish a 2.5" lift with a smooth ride? Might just be worth it. Any setbacks using the stock springs that you guys know of?

Sorry OP, don't mean to highjack the thread, but just since we're kind of in the same boat of wanting a lift, I figure it is all useful information.

It's not recommended to go more than .85 with Eibachs. In your case. I'd look into OME springs.

Someone correct me if im wrong, but once you go to 2.5 inches, it becomes hard to get proper alignment, and somewhat necessitates getting aftermarket UCA's.

If your going for a 2.5 lift, and don't want to sacrifice comfort and the likes, wait till you have the money to do it right, the first time.
The 5100's can be set to the 2.5 lift, but at that point, from what i gather, your better off getting eibach springs instead of the factory ones, and running the shocks in a lower setting, but achieving the same lift.
Old Man Emu (OME) make a full replacement suspension, minus the control arms. Spendy, but from what i hear its a amazing kit.
All i can speak to is having 5100's all around, set at .85 to level it out, with the tsb in the back, and a topper. Really changes the ride, in a great way.

I read that somewhere on here too but I figured the weight of the winch and mount (200lbs) would compensate for the over 3 inches I woiuld get. Maybe .85 would be better since the Eibachs are stiffer and probably would not sag as much as the stockers under the weight of the winch.

I would but I ordered the Eibachs before I bought the winch and I gotta use them now that I have them.
