well, its that time of year again......stupid chimney sweeps in yep, you guessed it, my chimney. whats some advice to get rid of them. We have a light up there, but they just squak and theyre annoying as hell.

 

If you are not using it, there are a number of covers for it. Cheap way is to put some sort of screen on it.
Before doing it, place a smoke bomb or make a small fire to get them out, when gone go up and cover it.

 

which one works better, smoke or fire?

 

At my parents we used smoke, besides paper and wood we added some old T shirt scraps to get alot of smoke, but not alot of fire.

You are gonna piss them off when you get it covered, my mom couldn't hang out cloths for a week. But they soon left to someones else's place.
