    stock, for now
wow that looks good..You know once you get it back together, your not going to want to beat it up..haha..

I bought an 89 4runner from a dude I worked with for $40 that was in an accident. It took me damn near 6 months to rebuild it and lift it to my likeing before I got it on insurance and driveable..I beat the ever loving crap out of that truck..I finally got tired of it breaking down(I was using it as a DD for a while so not to rack up tons of miles on my 96) and I sold it for $1,000..lol

Well, some bad news for myself... The paint did not dry. Its still tacky. I have 2 heaters under the plastic with the truck, and its about 80+ degrees in there.

The only thing I am wondering is if the guy at the paint store may have sold me the wrong hardener. If its not dry when I get home, I will probably be trying to rub the paint back off with lacquer thinner.

This is an impressive build, can't wait to see the finished product. Love the idea of a flat black, stealth taco!

Surprisingly the engine runs VERY quiet... I was worried to death once I drained the engine oil. So worried I was afraid to even post up about it... BUT its a fvcking Toyota... the you can't kill the mother fucker... :D

Well, for anyone looking to do a paint job cheap, yet durable... the Rust-oleum is a good route... BUT if your wanting to go with a Flat Finish... Do NOT Use the Urethane Hardener. It adds some degree of shine to the paint. Last night we sanded down about half of the cab, so I can spray it again without the Hardener. I gotta have it flat...

I am actually enjoying working on this truck so much that I think its time to start working on my Mustang again... I have a 1990 Mustang GT that has been parked for about 4 years now. The engine is apart for new rings and bearings due to a Pro-Charger Failure. All I need is a new clutch (McLeod twin disc) and a head liner. I am feeling the urge... I may end up stripping it down and painting it the same way as the Tacoma, only with real automotive paint.. base/clear.

This was with the stock engine

This was with the 331 on spray. Watch close, when I hit 4th gear is when the tire separates.

Another fun time... This was a spur of the moment appearance.. I was at home working on the roll cage when a friend called and said... "Man, come show these kids how to do a burnout." :D it was a small lot...

    http://s34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/boxxbanger1/?action=view&current=BurnoutFeast02-1.flv

This is how my baby is now... Stern 3 piece wheels, same as what was stock on the 93 Saleen SA-10. 331 stroker with a P1-SC Pro-Charger. the list is endless...

Sweet. Maybe you should take a break in between the taco and mustang. The last thing I want to see is a "Wife left me over the Tacoma/TW" thread.
