***Update*** Cab is now flat black, along with the hood and fenders. :D Once the paint dries and the overspray clears out, I will snap some pics and update this post. :D

I plan to paint the doors tomorrow. :D

I am a school teacher, and lucky for me the snow got school cancelled Monday and Tuesday, so I was able to get more done. We painted the doors Sunday, but for whatever reason the primer bled through. Grey primer on black & maroon doors just didn't work... so we sanded them down Monday and painted them again. :D

    IMG_3820_974cd8b03bcf1586c38125942b0d7b9bd01e60ef.jpg

By Monday night we were ready to hang the doors back on the truck... So we tore off all the masking tape, paper and plastic.

    IMG_3822_7b8284bd598bf9ef120fe83053066cd2e3755db3.jpg

    I got doors again.... :D
    IMG_3823_ef04d53c21e508294ac62f42282c1d05b835a729.jpg

Then Tuesday I took off to the Junk Yard. I now have 95% of the parts I need to finish the truck... I was not sure how everything went together on the steering column so I took the entire thing... :D I needed matching locks for the truck, and one at the yard had tan/brown interior. Turns out, after beating the shit out of the security bolts for the ignition on my column and the new one... I didn't have to. :D I had no idea there was a release pin to get just the ignition switch out... So that was a waste of $50 but more than just the $50 the time... the tilt column out of a 98+ will NOT work in the 97... the wiring harness is all different.

I gutted all the airbag and mounts out of the new column and swapped it over to my original column. Pain in the ass... wasted a couple hours messing with it when in the end I realized it just wasn't going to work... And it could had taken me 20 minutes had I known it wasn't going to work.

But now I have an airbag... oh yeah... and I have the fender on the driver side of my truck now. :D along with mirrors, door seals, working door latches...

Aside from time... the only parts I can think of that I need are the Brown Glove Box door, Driver side interior Cab corner trim panel and a freaking antenna.

I even got me a clock at the junkyard... :D

Thanks man... It just is starting to suck because I don't feel I am getting any closer to the end... I still feel like I am a million mils away because of all the issues and problems I keep hitting.

^ I have been taking breaks and calling early evenings to be able to spend some time with her... I gotta keep her happy. :D She got a new cell phone now, so that has been keeping her entertained as she is learning what all it does. HTC Hero... its a sweet phone. I am more impressed with it than any iPhone i have ever seen.

I had a short break from work today, so I got the passenger fender on, and the grill, readjusted the hood and fenders in attempts to get the gaps lined up better. :D
