I bought my black 2017 SR5 about a month ago and,
to the detriment of my wallet, found my way to this forum. I am now on a path to make what I’m calling my “Black Widow” with various upgrades.

The list of things I have completed and planned is below. I will be posting pictures as items are done. Any ideas/recommendations are welcome.

    Thanks for looking!

Great list of mods too. I’ll be following along for sure.

I need more space in the bed for stuff because we are going to be using the truck for a lot of long trips, so I have a cap from ARE now. I loved the BillieBars though. Just needed more room in the bed.

This is my build thread if you’re interested; it has a pic or two of the BillieBars/Bakflip setup…

    Very Nice SR5!

I'm not keen on calling our Midnight Black trucks, "Black Widow".

But that's just me thinking out loud. lol

I've taken a break from ordering add-ons for my Sport.

Your future adds will transform your SR5 even more!

    I'll be following.

Oh that’s awesome man. I appreciate that. Yeah I wanted to keep the BillieBars but I just needed more storage space.

How did billiebars prevent storage space? Do you mean a cap would give you more space?

what did you do with the bars? Selling them?

what’s wrong with black widow? I found the name appropriate for the black/red theme I’m going for. Plus, ScarJo is hawt. Lol

It had nothing to do with the BillieBars, the cap just allows me to put way more gear in the bed than I could with a bed cover.

Yeah, I sold the BillieBars to another TW member a few months ago.

So bad news. the jackass I bought this TRD CAI kit from shipped it to me without the air intake tube.

when I contacted him about it he said it would work without it.

then he tried telling me to just order that part myself since he sold me the other pieces cheaper than new.

    what a joke

Nothing wrong with the Black/Red theme you're going for...it's all in a name...lol!

Yes, I'm a Dodgers fan and be careful around my truck walking around the tailgate...apparently, some people on here, have already walked into the hitch! lol
