    Now I just need to think of a quick and easy way to make a body line tool. Maybe just use a piece of cardboard or something like that?

    I plan to use one of these, I'm just going to pull the flares then set it to 2.5" and follow the metal inner fender edge. The pencil will leave a line on the masking tape and then follow the line to make my cut. Would do the same on the flares themselves only at 2 1/4" to leave a little overlap to hide inner edge. Not sure if this is what you meant though by body line tool.

    Yeah, that would probably be good enough for what I'm doing. Some of the ones that I have been our triangle shaped and make sure that you stay EXACTLY at 2 inches, but a metal compas like that will probably be accurate enough for my needs

    Why are you cutting it out in chunks radially instead of cutting around the perimeter of the fender? I'd never have thought to do it that way.

    The little chunks that you see with the X on them I am not cutting off. That way I can fold them and screw them to the body to keep the fender from flapping around
